The CATALYST Consortium has operated in Pakistan since July 2002. CATALYST/Pakistan's original work program was redefined to that of assisting the USAID/Pakistan Mission in shaping its health portfolio. Its role now encompasses the provision of management and coordination support, technical assistance and program support to the USAID Mission. The Consortium functions in Social Marketing activities, partnerships with key organizations (such as that with DFID on the National Health Facility (NHF) initiative), provisions of technical assistance, district and provincial health and population systems strengthening, reproductive health and family planning (RH/FP), monitoring of the health portfolio, and other areas in which the Mission requests assistance.
